In 2010 Collier County was ranked the #1 healthiest county in the state of Florida to live by a study conducted by the University of Wisconsin and the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation. Collier had the lowest combined morbidity and mortality rates out of all the 67 counties throughout the State.
